Some design pieces transcend their basic function. Today, a product is no longer just an object: it tells stories, becomes a vehicle for communication between the customer and the brand, and opens the door to personalised experiences and services, deepening the connection with those who own it. For more than fifty years, the Togo, Ligne Roset’s unrivalled icon, has embodied exactly that: a sofa with a genuine philosophy, designed to become the ultimate place of surrender, the seat you dream about until you finally make it yours.

Since 2025, a new dimension has been added to this home & design icon. Through a collaboration with Trust-Place, every Togo now comes with a digital certificate. In practice, each sofa features a unique QR code on its label, allowing owners to activate their personal certificate. This certificate guarantees authenticity, protects against counterfeiting, and enables full traceability.
Yet the digital certificate goes beyond simply securing a product: it opens the door to an enriched post-purchase experience, offering premium services and personalized content that keep the brand connected to its customers long after the sale.
It is within this logic of enriched experience that the collaboration between Ligne Roset and Actes Sud was born.
“Il était une ligne”: where design meets literature to improve client experience
The project “Il était une ligne” represents a poetic encounter between design, comfort, and an immersive connected experience.
The idea is beautifully simple: transform the time spent in a Togo into a genuine cultural experience. A moment where you don’t just sit on a sofa… but travel through stories.
Through this collaboration, Togo owners can access a selection of exclusive audio works from the Actes Sud catalogue, curated to be listened to from the comfort of their Togo. The sofa becomes more than a design object: it becomes a gateway to an escapist space, a sofa-library, a place where stories come to life.
This initiative embodies a modern vision of design: one where an object does not stop at its aesthetic, but extends the customer experience over time, well beyond the point of purchase.
An Exclusive Audio Experience for Togo Owners
The client experience has been designed to be seamless and intuitive, accessible directly from the sofa.
Here is how owners can enjoy it:

1. Scan the sofa’s QR code: Each Togo features a unique QR code integrated into its label.
2. Activate the digital certificate: The owner validates the authenticity of their sofa and gains access to the Trust-Place post-purchase platform.
3. Discover the audio experience: Once the platform is unlocked, customers can explore a curated selection of stories and audio content offered by Actes Sud.
4. Let the stories carry you away: Settled comfortably in their Togo, users can listen to literary works and discover the pleasure of audio storytelling.
The Togo experience no longer ends at the moment of purchase. It continues to live, evolve, and renew itself over time.
A New Vision of the Relationship Between Brands and Customers
This collaboration illustrates a broader transformation taking place in the world of design and luxury: objects are becoming gateways to experiences. As Antoine Roset, CEO of Ligne Roset, explains:
“Authenticity and transparency are essential today. Digital certificates allow us not only to protect our creations, but also to build a lasting connection with our customers.”
With “Il était une ligne”, Ligne Roset demonstrates that a sofa can be far more than a piece of furniture: it represents a daily companion, a place of comfort, and now a gateway to an experiential cultural universe.
